Our Lesbian Superhero/Saver is gone?!!

I mean, just look at her! I need to be saved… And now I need her even more!!

Heartly eyes right now… 😍

Having Ruby Rose playing our first lesbian superhero on screen is just a bless. Batwoman is much more than just another superhero that saves the good guys from the bad ones, it saves those who don’t live in Gotham City as well.

Yes! There is romance for us! Not just ass kicking.

Kate and Sophie

Kate Kane (played by Ruby Rose) needs to take care of her heart matters as well, which makes everything a little more interesting. Having Ruby Rose with that suit on is a great motivation to keep breathing. I mean, who could resist RubyFuckingRose? Oh God…

CW’s Batwoman

But now, everything has changed for us fans, since our beautiful Ruby Rose has left the show. WHAT? Yes, I know, I’m not so happy about it either, but recently Ruby has informed us that she will not be taking part on the second season of our show.

So yeah, it’s the last time we will see Ruby Rose as the cover of our female Bat hero TV Show. During the last crossover a lot of things happened in the shows involved, from Oliver Queen dying, to us finding out that Kate Kane was the Paragon of courage, but never in a million years would we imagine that this would be the last time we’d see Batwoman and Supergirl interacting (with Ruby as the Bat, of course).

The question everyone is asking now is wether or not CW will proceed the show with Gotham’s hero being the same (even thought we will all know she’s not) or if they will just give an ending to the Kate Kane we know and give us another Batwoman.

In the comics that DC has brought to us, we’ve had many different versions of Batwoman, from 1956’s Kathy Kane, 2006’s Kate Kane, Katrina Moldoff in the cartoons and on to our current Kate Kane in the CW’s TV show, having many other versions in between. Even though, none of them had been made in a live action style, they had been openly gay basically since the beginning.

I wonder who are we having for season 2 of Batwoman, Kathy Kane, Brenna Wayne or our very known Kate Kate.

What do you think? I know I’ll miss Ruby, but I hope they choose someone as flamingly gay as our previous Batwoman.

In November 29, 2019, DC relased an adult cartoon called Harley Quinn, which obviously is focused in the life of our favorite female villain of Gotham City. The Action fiction starts with Harley (Kayley Cuoco) breaking up with The Joker (Alan Tudyk), moving in with Poison Ivy (Lake Bell) and deciding to find a crew of her own. She tries to get the Legion Of Doom to sign off a crew and their resourses for her, but when they find out she and The Clown Prince have broken up, they immediatelly give her a no, no and she leaves the building empty handed.

Throughout the first season, she tries gathering her own people and she finally gets it when Doctor Psycho (Tony Hale), King Shark (Ron Funches), Clayface (Alan Tudyk) and later on Sy Borgman (Jason Alexander) join her rising crew, in the meantime, Poison Ivy and Frank the Plant (J.B. Smoove) stand aside. Even though not admiting to be a part of Harley’s group, Poison Ivy still helps the gymnast to finish a few of her missions and even saves her life at times while the Justice League, Batman (Diedrich Bader) and Commissioner Gordon (Christopher Meloni) try to stop her, all while maintaining a relationship with Kite Man (Matt Oberg).

Harley’s first goal is to be a feared and recognized villain, which she only gets after “killing” her ex by the end of the season, after he kills Poison Ivy who is actually revived by the healing powers of nature and helps her defeat The Prince Clown of Gotham, also hurting Batman in the process.

Harley Quinn Season 2 Review: Thriving in an Anarchic New Gotham ...
Season 2 Poster

Now, it’s in season two that the scenario changes for the best friends. After the Legion Of Doom and Gotham City are destroyed by The Joker himself in season 1, the remaning villains decide to devide the territory of the New New Gotham among Two-Face (Andrew Daly), The Penguin (Wayne Knight), The Riddler (Jim Rash), Mr. Freeze (Alfred Molina) and Bane (James Adomian).

After being frozen and placed as an exposition in The Penguin’s collection for two months after a gone-wrong mission, Harley is finally rescued by her crew and decides to take down all of the villains. She defeats The Penguin, The Riddler and Mr. Freeze, leaving Two-Face and Bane for last. Two-Face had taken over the GCPD with the help of Bane, who stops the not dead Batman from destroying what they build thoughout the months.

While Kite Man and Poison Ivy are in a very steady relationship and, after a few tries, the plant lover accepts a marriage proposal from the Kite guy she had decided to date in season 1. But, things go sideways for the duo when Harley Quinn and Poison Ivy are arrested by Bane in The Pit and their new goal is to escape. It’s in the 7th episode of season 2 that they manage to escape the prison hole (literally haha) and in a moment of adrenaline they share their first kiss.

They both try pretending that the kiss didn’t happen, specially Harley, who goes to extreme measures to try to prove to everyone, mainly to herself, that nothing is out of the ordinary. She even gathers an army of demons as an attempt to take over what’s left of The new New Gotham, but Ivy talks her out of it when she’s about to kill Commissioner Gordon.

Deciding to bury her feelings even deeper, Harley plans the perfect Bachelorette party for the soon-to-be-married woman. But, once again, things dont’t go as planned, since the female villains actually end up sleeping together for two nights during the Bachelorette weekend during the last released episode of the Adult Cartoon.

Harley Quinn 2×09

By the end of the episode, Harley confesses her love to Ivy, but the activist doesn’t trust her heart with the unstable blonde woman, deciding to still marry Kite Man after everything they went through during that weekend, breaking her heart again.

Now, the next episode (2×10) will be released on June 5th, and it is named Dye Hard. I am really looking foward to knowing what will happen between these two, but I have a guess that Poison Ivy and Kite Man will not get married and finally we will have the romance we deserve with these two amazing villains.

Anyways, I can’t wait for the next episode and #Harlivy is real, that’s all I needed to say. Thanks for reading and stay tunned for more content from our blog! ❤
